The Journey So Far...
Jack Moreton
Architect
Founder of Sprig Design Studio
People
Jack Moreton is an architect & founder of Sprig Design LTD.
Jack’s education and early career as a charted architect gave him a strong grasp of small project delivery. While at Tonkin Liu Architects Jack had the opportunity to work on artworks in the public realm and on more complex timber structures where digital manufacturing was integral to the detailed design.
Later, as a project architect at DSDHA he gained large project experience and learnt from the practice methodology of applying ‘spatial-justice’ through co-design with communities and users.
Teaching
Participation in education offers an opportunity to share knowledge with the next generation, while connections with academia enrich practising designers with ideas from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
In late 2025, Jack was appointed part-time as Practice Tutor at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) to guide Master’s students through their Design Realisation Module.
In the last year Jack has mentored one student as part of the RIBA Wren Insurance Association Mentorship Programme, and two pursuing Professional Studies in Architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture.
Jack has also returned to The Bartlett School of Architecture to assist with workshops and has been invited as a guest critic at The Bartlett, Central Saint Martins, and the Architectural Association.

How We Work
The image to the left is a snippet of our design process via an online whiteboard. At appropriate times this brings a collaborative opportunities for clients, engineers and designers to check, comment and contribute to the creation of the project.
Sprig Design Studio is based in London, UK. Often collaborating with other design professionals, Sprig works across scales, designing buildings, landscape interventions, public art installations and bespoke sculptures. All our work is shaped by local ecologies and cultures. Sprig critically engages with the natural and built environments, blending hands-on design, material exploration, technical innovation, research-driven analysis, computational design, and community participation to ensure meaningful, lasting impact for the users and communities we serve.
Our experience working in the UK and overseas has reinforced our belief in combining traditional materials and construction techniques with modern standards and design technologies. This approach allows us to create projects that are both ephemeral and do not cost the world.
Sprig is committed to uncovering the unique potential of each project’s context—crafting interventions that enrich the environment, foster connection, and positively shape the way people interact with their surroundings.
